Refosco is the true great Friuli red wine, which grapes are native right in the Colli Orientali del Friuli area. It is a structured wine, full, rich in character, but over time gentle and velvety. The color is garnet red turning to purple and the aromas are of wild blackberry and other wild berries: it is a combination of aromas and feelings that place this wine among the greatest Italian reds. The flavor is dry, a bit tannic, full bodied, with a persistent aftertaste.
